Rosa Young

Rosa Young, 83, of Bethlehem died Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at VNA Hospice of St. Luke's. She and her husband Robert L. Young celebrated their 60th anniversary this past Thanksgiving. Born in Frankfurt, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Daisy Jarmaine Feser.

Rosa was a faithful member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Freemansburg.

Known to most as "Oma", Rosa was a very talented woman. Beyond being a wonderful wife and mother, she was a gifted needleworker, having made hundreds of beautiful afghans over the years. She was also very skilled in the kitchen, especially when it came to baking. She enjoyed her many trips to Europe to visit family and frequent car rides with her husband to simply enjoy the sights. She also loved dog, all dogs.

Along with her husband, Rosa is survived by two sons, Kenneth and his wife Kathleen of Macungie and Robert J. of Churchville, VA. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley and Henry and a sister, Daisy Black.
