Rose E. Fistner Polak, 86, of Bethlehem, PA passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Born January 18, 1926 in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Rose Zaun and Joseph Fistner. She was married to Paul Polak with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage before his passing on April 2, 1998.

Rose worked as a waitress for several restaurants in the Bethlehem area. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miller Heights and its Altar and Rosary Society. Rose was also a member of the Democratic Committee and the Independent Citizens Club both in Bethlehem Township.

Rose is survived by her daughters, Barbara wife of Joseph Weber of Valley Forge, PA, Rosemarie wife of Brian Paolini of Bethlehem, PA and Paulette wife of Dr. P. Christopher Metzger of Clark Summit, PA., sister, Marie Czuk of Bethlehem. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jillian Crooks, J.P. Weber, Lissa Davolos and Lucas Weber and eight great grandchildren.

Rose was preceded in death by her sister, Eleanor Kacar and brother, James Fistner.

A viewing will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 1817 First St. Bethlehem, PA 18020 at 11 AM. Burial will be at Holy Ghost Cemetery, in Bethlehem, PA.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Rose's name to Cedarbrook Fountain Hill Auxiliary 724 Delaware Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18015 or to the church.
