Rose E. Reidy

Rose E. Reidy, 90, of Bethlehem, passed away at home on June 27, 2011 surrounded by her loved ones. Rose was the devoted wife of 60 years of the late James J. Reidy who passed away in 2010. Born in Jim Thorpe, PA on July 11, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Philip Rader and Mary Dever Rader. Rose was a part time resident of Naples, FL for 25 years and will be missed by her family and many friends in Florida and Pennsylvania. She was an entertaining friend with a fine singing voice and was known for her strong spirit, tough will, determination and endless devotion to her family and the Catholic faith. She was a parishioner of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church for 50 years.

Survivors: Rose is survived by a son, Thomas F. Reidy of Brooklyn, NY; three daughters, Rosemary Reidy Foreman and her husband Bruce of El Paso, TX; Anne Reidy Hull and her husband Thomas of Pottsville, PA; Patricia Reidy Dobkin and her husband Jeffrey of Bala Cynwyd, PA. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Rebecca Reidy Foreman, Kali Hull, Danielle Reidy Dobkin, Adam Reidy Dobkin and Nicole Reidy Dobkin. Rose was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by siblings Marie Pollack, Adam Rader, Joseph Rader and Theresa Cadden.

Services:

Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, July 1, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m.

Burial immediately following at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
