Rose M. Dolak, 89, of Bethlehem, died on Monday, July 21, 2014. She was born January 26, 1925 in Sugar Notch, PA; daughter of the late James and Mary (Good) Reilly. Rose was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Stephen J. Dolak. Rose was a talented cook.
She was a head cook in the Bethlehem Area School District for 25 years. Additionally, she cooked for the Sisters of St. Joseph at Bethlehem Catholic High School and she also cooked at several summer camps. Rose was a parishioner of St. John Capistrano and more recently St. Paul Catholic Church, Allentown.
She will be dearly missed by her sons, James and his wife, Rachel Moriarity of Fort Collins, CO; Stephen J. Jr. and his wife, Donna and Joseph and his wife, Chris all of Bethlehem Twp.; daughters, Sister Eileen, SSJ of Chestnut Hill, PA; Nancy Spadt and her husband, Ed of Allentown; her sister, Marie OConnors of Bethlehem; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A son, Michael; daughter, Kathy Tarakai; two brothers and two sisters died earlier.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 920 S. 2nd St. Allentown, PA 18103. A visitation will be held in the church from 9-10 AM. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Memorial contributions may be made to Sisters of Saint Joseph c/o Development Office, 9701 Germantown Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19118-2694.
