Rose M. Donchez

Rose M. Donchez, 84, of Bethlehem died Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Holy Family Manor. Born April 19, 1933 in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Anna (Nemes) and Joseph Mandic. She was married to Francis R. Donchez, Sr. for 54 years until his passing on January 30, 2013.

Rose attended Moravian College. She was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church and also St. Annes Catholic Church both in Bethlehem. She was active with the 55 Plus group at St. Annes and the Serra Club and Rose also volunteered at the Sun Inn as a guide. She enjoyed following Lehigh Athletics with her husband and was passionate about her children and grandchildren.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Francis R. Donchez, Jr. and wife Beverly of Overland Park, KS and David J. Donchez and wife Paula of Allentown, daughter, Michele Donchez of Bethlehem, sisters, Helen Mandic and Anna Marie Dolgos, grandchildren, Nathan, Jacob, Madison and Molly and a great grandson, Noah.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 8:30-9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Josephs Catholic Church 417 E. 5th St., Bethlehem, PA 18015 at 10 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation, Attn: Donor Services, Epilepsy Foundation, 8301 Professional Place East, Suite 200, Landover, MD 20785.
