Rose M. Tadayesky, 80, of Raubsville, peacefully passed away on August 2, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital-Fountain Hill Campus. She was born November 5, 1942, daughter of the late Paul Beahm and Elizabeth (Serbeck) Jones. Rose is the devoted wife of nearly 59 years to Edward J. Tadayesky. The two met by chance on the Southside of Bethlehem and have created a beautiful life together.
Rose, affectionately known as Mama Rose, will be lovingly remembered for her selflessness. She put the needs of everyone who was important in her life before her own. Her kindness, tender demeanor, and giving disposition were experienced by all that she met. Rose’s delicious cooking will be missed, especially her pierogis. She could often be found watching the Food Network to stay up to date on the newest tips and tricks to add to her repertoire. Food was not just about nourishment, but it meant that she was able to gather with the most important people in her life, and her cooking was an act of love. Rose enjoyed sewing, gardening, and most especially attending her grandchildren’s events. She found great peace in feeding the hummingbirds and watching the butterflies at her home. Rose and Edward traveled the world together, once even taking the family on a five-week cross country vacation.
Rose was a graduate of Wilson High School. She later took a job with Dr. Donald E. Willard, a well-known eye surgeon in the area. Rose’s tremendous work ethic allowed her to progress in her career from receptionist to office manager, and later assisting with minor procedures. After over 20 years, Rose retired and continued to dedicate her life to her family.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Edward; daughters, Vickie Bryant and husband, Master Sergeant Ray Bryant, Jr. (retired Air Force), and Paula Tadayesky; grandchildren, Rihanna Johnson, and Jaxson Tadayesky; and brother-in-law, Robert Tadayesky.
Rose's urn will be present for friends and family to pay their respects at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E.
