Rose Marie Boerner

Rose Marie Boerner (Horan), 85, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Moravian Village. She was born in Bethlehem, the daughter of the late Joseph

and Katharina (Boden) Hollshwandner. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Boerner who died in 1990.

Rose Marie graduated from Sacred Heart School of Nursing. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from from West Chester University and a Master of Arts from Villanova University. Rose Marie was a nurse for Doylestown Hospital and for the Visiting Nurse Services of Doylestown Hospital. She went on the be the coordinator of the Nursing program at Upper Bucks Vocational and Technical School, Perkasie PA. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Air Force. She was a member of the Buck's County Civil War Round Table. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Rose Marie was a parishioner of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church of Sellersville.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Thomas Horan and his wife, Sandy,

Robert Horan, Patrick Horan; sister, Dr. Caroline Hollshwandner; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Wallace and Joshua Horan; and two great-grandchildren, Raelyn and Nora.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Hollshwandner, Catharine Seglets, Elizabeth Drumheller and Agnes Temmel, brothers, Frank and Joseph Hollshwandner.

Services:

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, 445 N. Main St., Sellersville, PA 18960 at 10 AM. A calling hour will be held in the church from 9-9:45 AM. Burial will be at Holy Ghost Cemetery, in Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made in Rose Marie's name to Assumption Church of Blessed Virgin Mary 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike Bethlehem, PA 18015.
