Rose Marie Meyer

Rose M. Meyer, 97, of Bethlehem, died on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Country Meadows. She was born in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of the late, Jose and Carmen (Menendez) Lopez. She was the loving wife of Stephen F. Meyer for 64 years before his passing in 2004.

Rose worked as a sewing machine operator for various textile mills. She also worked for Just Born Candies, Roller Smith and Western Electric. Rose was a very active woman. She volunteered at the Bethlehem Township Fire Department and enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Taking care of her family brought Rose great joy. She loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Marilyn M. Eckley and husband, Frank of Bethlehem; brother, Charles Lopez; sisters, Hope Rodriguez and Anita Gonzalez; grandchildren, Lisa Todd (Steven) and Brian Eckley (Alexis); two great-grandsons, Brandon and Austin Todd; and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sons, Stephen, Jr. and Joseph Meyer; sister, Connie Lopez; and brothers, Joseph and Julius Lopez.

Services: A viewing will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
