Rosemarie B. Halkins

Rosemarie B. Halkins, 87, of Bethlehem, died Monday, October 12, 2015, at her home.

She was born in Bethlehem, the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret (Ferry) Bush. She was the devoted wife to the late John W. Halkins. They were married 41 years before his death in 1997.

Rosemarie worked for Bethlehem Steel for 11 years in the billing division. She was a parishioner of Notre Dame Catholic Church and the Senior Center of Bethlehem where she also volunteered her time.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Carol Kowaleski and husband, Edward of Bethlehem; granddaughter, Kristen wife of Jared Steckel and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, William, Joseph, John and Donald; and her sister, Mary Shamenek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
