Ruben Brignoni

Ruben Brignoni, Sr., 72, of Freemansburg passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in his home with his family by his side. Born April 16, 1942 in Manhattan, NY he was the son of the late Concepsa (Fanfan) Figueroa. He was married to Nancy (Coffin) Brignoni with whom he celebrated 33 years of marriage this past Ausgust 29th.

Ruben worked as a mechanic for AAMCO and later he worked as a truck driver for Horwith Trucking for 25 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Ruben also volunteered his time as an EMT and Ambulance driver for the Community 9 Ambulance. Ruben cherished the time he spent with his family especially taking them on road trips, whether it was to spend time with extended family members or going to New York to enjoy some Spanish food.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Nancy, children, Mimi Stieska, Ruben Brignoni Jr. , Ruby Ann Beck, Theron Jene Brignoni, Annie Brignoni, Tracy Hahn and Tiffany Benson, brothers, Efrian and Joseph Figueroa, sisters, Nilda Brignoni, Yvette Higgins, Milagro Figueroa, Andrea Wooden and Zoe Figueroa. He will also be remembered by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Julia Dixon Brignoni.

A gathering will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the Freemansburg Fire Social Hall 600 Monroe St. Freemansburg, PA 18017 from 10 AM-1 PM.
