Rudolph Schwartz

Rudolph J. Schwartz, Jr., 76, of Catasauqua, passed away on August 30, 2024. He was born in Bethlehem on April 9, 1948, son of the late Rudolph J. and Helen (Krajewski) Schwartz. Rudy is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara J. (Moreland) Schwartz, and his son, Rudolph J. Schwartz, III. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie.

Rudy was an incredibly talented man. He learned many skills through reading books, including everything needed to know about building his cabin in Susquehanna County, where he hunted and relaxed with friends. He enjoyed racing his stock car at the Nazareth Speedway. His gifts extended to repairing his race car and his hobby of stripping cars down and rebuilding them. Rudy was a NASCAR fan as well. He also found great happiness in target shooting. Most of all, Rudy was proud of his son.

For over 30 years, Rudy worked for the Bethlehem Steel as a millwright in the BOF mill and would often be relied upon to act as an electrician, welder, and repairman.

Services for Rudy will be held privately.
