Russell C. Stocker

March 14, 1922 — July 2, 2010

Russell C. Stocker, 88, of Allen Township, Northampton, PA died on Friday, July 2, 2010 at Moravian Village of Bethlehem. He was born in Easton, PA and was the son of the late Frank and Cora Heaton Stocker. Russell is the husband of Betty M. McKelvie Stocker. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary this past November.

Russ served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was involved in the Anzio Beach Battle, Rome- Arno N. Apennines PO Valley Battles and Campaigns. Russ received the good conduct medal purple heart with oak leaf cluster distinguished unit badge meritorious unit Award and European African Middle Eastern Ribbon. He was a member of St. Paul's U.C.C. in Northampton. Russ and his wife Betty volunteered at Musikfest for many years. He was a life member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 190 and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Lehigh Valley Chapter 7.

Russell was the Produce Manager for Atlantic and Pacific Tea Co. retiring in 1983 after 36 years service.

Russell will be lovingly remembered by his wife Betty M. Mckelvie Stocker of Northampton, and several nephews and nieces.

Friends may call at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday July 7, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.

Burial following service at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
