Russell Grander

H. Russell Grander, 83, died June 15, 2014. He was married to Evelyn McLean Grander for 59 years. Born in Royersford, PA he was the son of the late H. Russell and Selah Grander.

He graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology with degrees in civil and mechanical engineering. He was also an Executive for the Bethlehem Steel and president of Bethlehem International Engineering and Consulting. Russell was president of E & E Corporation, working with international steel companies and the World Bank.

Work and play carried him and his wife to countries all over the world. He and Evelyn were avid travelers, covering most of the 50 states and 80 countries.

He was a man of deep faith at work, home and First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem where he served as clerk of session, teacher and elder. He was active in the community and a Rotarian.

Russell served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was a devoted husband and father survived by two children, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church, 2344 Center St., Bethlehem, PA 18017.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem or the Bach Choir, 440 Heckewelder PL, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
