Ruth Ann Bobal

Ruth Ann Bobal, 66, of Bath, PA passed away Sunday, August 29, 2010 at St.Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, PA. Born November 4, 1943 in Hazelton, PA she was the daughter of the late Ruth Smith and Curtis Rataczak. She was married to Joseph F. Bobal, Jr. with whom she just celebrated 36 years of marriage this past July 27th.

Ruth Ann earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Cedar Crest College. She also graduated from St. Luke's School of Nursing. She worked for St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem as a Registered Nurse retiring in 2006.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Joseph of Bath, daughter, Joelle Bobal of Glennolden, sister, Sandra wife of Michael Shemonsky of Weatherly, several nieces and nephews and 2 grand nieces.

SERVICES

Ruth Ann's family will receive friends and guests Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 6-9 PM at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018. A calling period will be held on Friday, September 3, 2010 from 9-11 AM in the funeral home followed by a Memorial Service at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ruth Ann's name to the American Cancer Society 3893 Adler Place Bethlehem, PA 18017 or Visiting Nurses Association of St. Luke's 1510 Center Valley Parkway Bethlehem, PA 18017.
