Ruth J. Lang

Ruth J. Lang, 90, of Allentown, died Tuesday January 19, 2010, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. Born in Nesquehoning on November 2, 1919, she was the daughter of the late George and Ruth Strain Maurer. She was the devoted wife of the late George F. Lang who died in 2005. They were married for 63 years.

Ruth graduated as a Registered Nurse from St. Luke's School of Nursing, class of 1941. She worked for many years as a private practice nurse and retired from Cedarbrook in the 1980's.

She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughters, Barbara A. Reynolds wife of the late William R., and Jean R. Olliver and spouse Richard A.; son, George E. Lang and spouse Iris K.; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, where the family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 23rd. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Allentown.
