Ruth K. Giletto

Ruth K. Giletto (Mrs. G) 95, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Whitehall Manor. Born in Hopewell, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Myrtle (Reed) Keifman. She was the devoted wife of the late Dr. Basil J. Giletto.

Ruth was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where she received her R.N. She was then offered a nursing position at Thomas Jefferson where she was employed for several years. She was a lover of poetry and of her pooches. She enjoyed cooking big meals and spending time with her family. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Allentown.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Rosemary Leavy and husband, Edward; sons, Dr. Joseph Giletto, John Giletto and wife, Lizbeth, and Basil Giletto and wife, Michele; sister, Betty Wright; grandchildren, Doug, Matthew, Jacqueline, Christopher, Amanda, Basil and Martha; and great granddaughter, Abigail, to be born in April. She was predeceased by her brother, Dr. Jack Kiefman.

Visitation will be held in the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1046 W. Cedar St., Allentown, on Saturday Feb. 15 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. A 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken.
