Ruth Kiefer

Ruth D. Kiefer, 86, of Allentown, PA passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at her home. She was born in Fountain Hill, PA, the daughter of the late Harry and Florence (Ruhe) Shannon. She was the wife of the late George H. Kiefer Sr.

Ruth was a teacher's aide for the Bethlehem School District for many years and truly enjoyed her job. She enjoyed playing bingo and doing crafts with her grandchildren and going to the senior center to hang out with her friends and she also liked going to the beach with her son, Barry and to Lancaster with her son, George.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, George Kiefer, Raymond Kiefer and wife, Patricia, and Barry Kiefer and wife, Cheryl; daughter, Susan Polgar and husband, Stephen; brother, James Shannon; three sister-in-law's, Shirley Miller, Linda Shannon-Nee-Glass, and Gloria Kiefer; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery, 1851 Linden St., Bethlehem, PA.
