Salette Marmelo

Salette M. Marmelo, 84 of Bethlehem, PA, passed away Tuesday April 16, 2024 at St. Lukes Hospital Anderson Campus in Bethlehem Twp. She was born in Freixo, Portugal, the daughter of the late Adriao and Amelia (Sobal) Marmelo. Salette worked for the former Western Electric and Bell Labs in Allentown for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bethlehem Twp. Salette enjoyed arts and crafts especially ceramics, pottery, sewing and knitting. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and graduated from Liberty High School.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Joe Unangst and wife Cindy, brother Tony Marmelo and wife Joyce, daughter-in-law, Kelly Unangst, and grandchildren, Ricky and Kailee. She was predeceased by her son, Richard Unangst, and a brother, Rudy Marmelo.

A viewing will be held 10-11am Monday April 22, 2024, at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA followed by a service at 11am. The burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.
