Sandra Martinez

Sandra Martinez, 84, of Bethlehem passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at home with her family by her side. Born on December 15, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Helen (Mullen) and Howard J. Giering. She was the loving wife of the late Julio R. Martinez.

Sandy worked for General Electric for many years as well as Wood Catering at Lehigh University where she retired. She enjoyed puzzles and crafts, especially, painting rocks and crocheting. Sandy was a member of the Wanderers A. A. where she and Julio enjoyed many great nights with family and friends.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Carmen Billeaud; Candida, wife of Thomas Grube; Julio Jr., husband of Vicki Martinez; Helen, wife of Tim Mullin; Jose, husband of Midori Martinez; and David Martinez; brother, David Giering; sisters, Linda Cruz and Pearl Wombold as well as 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Sandy was preceded in death by 10 siblings.

A service to celebrate Sandy's life will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery
