Sandra R. Woodring of Bethlehem passed away at home Tuesday January 10, 2012. Born in Jersey City, she grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn NY where she attended Bishop McDonnell High School and New York University.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Carleton T. Woodring, Jr. and they were married 48 years. Sandra owned and operated Woodring Marketing Service, a maintenance supply distribution firm started with her husband.

Sandra dedicated a great deal of her time to volunteer work, including the Junior League of the Lehigh Valley, The Children's Home of Easton, Channel 39 where she was Easton chairman for the first on air auction. Sandra also served on the Presidents Council of Allentown College, now De Sales University. She was a member of the Planning Commission of Easton for 26 years and as chairman for the last 10 years of her term. She was a board member of Easton Heritage Alliance.

Sandra will be lovingly remembered by her husband; daughter Sarah W. Cooper and husband Carl C. Cooper of Guilford, CT; son Carleton T. Woodring III and wife Jenifer Whiten-Woodring of Acton, MA; sister Patricia Bridgman of New Providence, NJ; and four grandchildren: David R. and Margaret E. Cooper; J. Patrick and Alexandra D. Woodring. Services:

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home of Bethlehem.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday January 14, 2012 at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church at 1861 Catasauqua Rd., Bethlehem, PA, 18018. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church, VNA Hospice of St. Luke's 1510 Valley Center Parkway Suite 200 Bethlehem, PA 18017, or to Camp Onaway PO Box 4064 Albany, NY 12204.
