Sara Rose Cuellar

Sara Rose Cuellar, 86, of Bethlehem, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Natalia G. (Gutierres) and Ramon G. Cuellar.

Sara was a member of Holy Infancy Church. Before retiring to help care for her family, she worked for many years as an order entry clerk for the Bethlehem Steel Co. Sara enjoyed bus trips to Atlantic City, cooking, baking and keeping her house clean.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Marie Merkle. Although she did not have children of her own, she was considered a mother to her nephew, Chris Merkle and his wife, Tammi and nieces, Lisa Merkle and Wendy Basta and her husband Bill. She will also be remembered by many great nieces and great nephews. Sara was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond Cuellar and Louis Cuellar.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 6-8 p.m at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A viewing will also be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 8-9:15 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at Holy Infancy Church. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Infancy Church, 312 E. Fourth St. Bethlehem, PA 18015.
