Sarah "Cuca" E. Carrasquillo-Silva

Sarah “Cuca” E. Carrasquillo-Silva, 91, passed away on Sunday July 24th, 2016 at St. Lukes Hospital-Anderson Campus in Bethlehem, Pa. She was born on October 1, 1924 in Corozal, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Rafael and Consuelo (Gracia) Virella. She was the wife of the late Wenceslao Silva and Miguel Carrasquillo. She was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church in Bethlehem and also a member of the Confraternity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Cursillo.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Paula Perez (Julio) of Bethlehem, and Iris Hernandez (Luis) of Nazareth, sons, Wenceslao Silva Jr. (JoAnn) of Nazareth, Luis Silva (Sandra) of Allentown, and Wilfredo Silva (Nora) of Easton, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sisters, Iris Cuevas, and Rafaela Virella, and brothers, Angel Manuel Virella, Wilfredo Virella, and William Virella, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 16 brothers and sisters.

A prayer service will be held 9:15am on Thursday July 28, 2016 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10am at Holy Infancy Catholic Church 312 E. 4th St. Bethlehem , Pa. 18015. A viewing will be held from 7-9pm Wednesday evening and 8:15-9:15am Thursday morning at the funeral home.
