Selar Konsevitch

July 4, 1933 — September 25, 2007

Selar Konsevitch, 74, of Bethlehem Twp., died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007 in St. Luke?s Hospital, Bethlehem. He and his wife Jo-Ann Rospendowski Konsevitch, celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary this past June 14th.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Sila and Anna Konsevitch.

Selar was a member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, Bethlehem where he served on the council for many years. He was involved with the planning for the church when it was built on Bridle Path Rd..

He worked for Lehigh Structural Steel as an engineer and project coordinator, retiring in 1998. He also worked as a consultant for various companies. Selar was involved with the Queensboro Bridge and the Atlantic City Convention Center building projects.

He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Coast Guard.

He was a member of the Roosevelt Democratic Club. He was a talented golfer, a Penn State graduate and an avid Penn State fan. Selar loved his family and always put them first.

Surviving along with his wife, Jo-Ann, is his son, Gregory Konsevitch, husband of Dale of Moore Twp.; his daughter, Valerie, wife of Gordon Roberts of Catasauqua; a brother, Andrew Konsavitch of Wilkes-Barre; sisters, Dorothy Speary of Wilkes-Barre; Mary Bugel of Niagara Falls, NY; and five grandchildren, Matthew, Alex, Nicholas, Megan and Brendan.

Services:Burial Services will be held at St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, 980 Bridle Path Road, Bethlehem on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 11:00AM. Visitation will be in the church on Friday, Sept. 28 from 6PM ? 9PM, Panachida at 8PM.

Burial will be at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Services will be under the direction of Connell Funeral Home, Inc. Bethlehem.
