Sherwood C. Rash

Sherwood C. "Sam" Rash, 97, of Bethlehem, died on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Moravian Village of Bethlehem. He was born September 10, 1915 in Nazareth; son of the late Victor S. and Mary I (Clauss) Rash. Sam was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Joyce S. Rash.

He proudly served in the US Army during WWII. Sam retired as a production control supervisor in 1979 after 33 years of service at Western Electric. He was a member of Christ Church UCC, Bethlehem.

Sam will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Linda, wife of James Biesecker of Bethlehem and a sister, Mary Ellen Becker of Nazareth.

Friends and family are invited to attend the Interment Ceremony of Sherwood Sam C. and Joyce C. Rash, 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Bethlehem Memorial Park Mausoleum, which is handicapped accessible, 1851 Linden St., Bethlehem, PA 18017. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Connell Funeral Home and Rev. Jeffrey V. Bauer, Pastor of Christ Church UCC, Bethlehem will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Animal Health and Welfare, 1165 Island Park Rd. Easton, PA 18042.
