Shirley A. Mohring

Shirley “Mama” Mohring, 81, of Bethlehem died Sunday, January 3, 2021 in her home with her family by her side. Born in Scranton she was the daughter of the late Josephine (Chase) and Alexander J. Bellen. She was married to the late Daniel R. Mohring with whom she celebrated 54 years of marriage until his death on July 14, 2010.

Shirley worked at DeSales University, the Alcohol and Drug Dependence Center in Bethlehem for 10 years and before that she worked for Dr. Stanley Stein and Dr. Richard Stein in Bethlehem. In her free time Shirley enjoyed crocheting, camping and trips to Lancaster.

Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Joanne Seif wife of Bruce and Cheryl Jacobs wife of Keith, sisters, Sandra Peischl and Sharon Stauffer wife of Michael, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Deasey.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM followed by a service at 1:30 PM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Due to the pandemic, numbers in the viewing room will be limited and masks will be required.

Memorial contributions may be made in Shirleys name to an animal rescue of ones choice.
