Shirley Arlene Megenhardt

Shirley Arlene (Fink) Megenhardt, 99, of Bethlehem, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Daniel F. Megenhardt who died January 16, 2010. Shirley was born in Allentown on August 22, 1923 to the late Albert H. and Clara C.E. (Desch) Fink. She worked as a Waitress at Top Diner, Allentown for 20 years. Shirley enjoyed spending the summers with her family at Cape Hatteras National Seashore, Outer Banks, NC. She loved walking miles on the beach and was a prolific reader. Shirley adored her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors: children: Linda M. (Julius W., III) Detrixhe of Bethlehem, Dannie J. Megenhardt of Lower Nazareth; grandchildren: Julius W. IV, Joanna “Susan” Jones, Daniel C. Megenhardt-Jones, Trey R. Megenhardt, Kyle D. Megenhardt; great grandchildren: Bryan Genesky, Ayla M. Genesky, Heaven I.W. Detrixhe, Christopher J. Detrixhe, Sarah Jones, Julian M.W. Detrixhe, Anastasiya Jones, Joshua Jones, Ezra Jones, Rebekah Jones. Predeceased in death by siblings: Warren Fink, Cevilla Diehl, Gerald Fink, Elmer Fink, Clive Fink, Alida Dewar, Albert Fink, Richard Fink, Geraldine Eck; grandchildren: Christopher Detrixhe & Julianne Marie Detrixhe.

Service: A Graveside Service will be held 1pm Thursday, June 15, 2023 at the Holy Saviour Cemetery, 2575 Linden Street-Bethlehem. Online condolences may be offered at connellfuneral.com.
