Shirley May Hassick, 72, of Bethlehem died Wednesday September 26, 2007 at St. Luke?s Hospital in Fountain Hill, Pa. She was born on May 15, 1935 in Bethlehem daughter of the late Elvin W. and Mabel I. Fritz Bennyhoff. She was the wife of Stephen Hassick III. They celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary in February.
Shirley was a secretary for the 1st National Bank , president of Groman?s Bakery, and also worked for Kalglo all in Bethlehem. She was also a homemaker and devoted to her family. She was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ. She was a former Sunday School teacher and sang on the church choir. She was also a Cub Scout Den Mother.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, sons, Robert S. Hassick and wife Clare of Coopersburg, and David J. Hassick and wife Lynda of Whitehall, sister, Joanne Albaugh of Bethlehem, grandchildren, Kaylee, Derek, Ryan, and Matthew, and 1 niece and 3 nephews.
She was predeceased by a half brother, Frank Dettinger
Services will be held on Monday October 1, 2007 at 10Am at Bethany United Church of Christ 600 W. Market St. Bethlehem, Pa. Calling hours will be held Sunday evening from 7-9PM in the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018
