Shirley Roberts

Shirley Moore Roberts, 75, of Center Valley, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Hospice House of the VNA of St. Luke's in Bethlehem. She was the wife of David A. Roberts with whom she celebrated she celebrated 54 years of marriage this past November. Born June 24, 1934, in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late Charlotte and Wilbur Moore.

Shirley was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Colesville. She was a warm, loving and fun soul who will be greatly missed by family and friends. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed time spent in Florida.

Survivors: her husband, David Roberts; eight children and their spouses: Robin Roberts and Leslie Wade; Gayle Roberts-Pisklo and Greg Pisklo; Linda Roberts-Drake and Ian Drake; David Roberts; Richard and Laura Roberts; Roger and Mary Ellen Roberts; Kim Roberts; and Scott and Katie Roberts. Nine grandchildren: Dylan and Chelsea Wade; Jennifer and Bryan Pisklo; Owen Drake; Russell and Leni Roberts; Alison Roberts; Jonathan Kohanim; her sister and brother-in-law: Carol and William Brennan.



SERVICES

Shirley Roberts's family will receive friends and guests on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-8 PM. A calling period will be held on Wednesday, June 16th 2010 in the funeral home from 10:30-11 AM followed by a funeral service at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Shirley Roberts's name to Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem, PA 18015 or to Hospice of the VNA of St. Luke's 1510 Valley Center Parkway-St. 200 Bethlehem, PA 18017. The family wishes to thank the Church and hospice for their concern and loving care.
