Sophie V. Engler

Sophie V. Engler, 84, of Allentown, died Saturday April 19th, 2008 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg. She was born on May 29, 1923 in Mocanaqua, PA daughter of the late Anthony and Sofia Arzesczinski Dombroski. She was the wife of Forrest F. Engler. They would have been married for 62 years on April 27th, 2008.

Sophie worked at Just Born Candy Co. for 25 years retiring in 1983. She was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church of Bethlehem. She was very devoted to her family. She enjoyed gardening, feeding the various animals in her yard, and really enjoyed cooking those special Sunday dinners which her family is really going to miss.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, son, Alan E. Engler and wife Margie of Whitehall, Pa., daughter, Sharon Engler of Allentown, and grandchildren, Michael, Michele, and Matthew and wife Erin.

She was predeceased by brothers, John Dombroski, and Charles Dombroski, and sisters, Jennie Maga, and Pauline Mazur.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Wednesday April 23, 2008 at Notre Dame Catholic Church 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem. Calling hours from 9:30-11AM in the church.
