Stanley A. Spadt

Stanley A. Spadt, 96, of Bethlehem, PA died Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem. Born April 22, 1917 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Mary (Doleczek) and Walter Spadt. He was married to Evelyn (Nauman) Spadt with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage this past March.



Mr. Spadt worked for Bethlehem Steel for over 40 years, retiring as General Foreman of the Combination Mills. He was a member of St. Annes Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Evelyn, sons, Kirk Spadt and wife Susan Kellogg-Spadt, Craig Spadt and wife Robin (Glassford) Spadt and Dylan Spadt and wife Cheryl (Siwy) Spadt, daughter, Margot Messer and husband Charles, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Walter, Francis, and Carl Spadt and sister, Elizabeth Klinger.

A viewing will be held Friday, November 29, 2013 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018, from 7-9 PM; and again Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 East Washington Avenue, Bethlehem, PA 18017 at 11 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.
