Stanley J. Kulig, 82, passed away on October 1, 2023, with his family by his side. He will be lovingly remembered as a hardworking, sometimes outspoken, family man with a wonderfully sarcastic and dry sense of humor. Stan enjoyed playing cards and found great peace floating in his pool.
He was born and raised in New York City, the son of the late Stanley and Frances Kulig. Stan was working at Rockefeller Center when he met and fell in love with his wife of 58 years, Irene A. Kulig. The two traveled together, participated in bowling leagues, and were partners in several jitterbug contests. Stan was a member of the U.S. Army from 1959-1961.
Stan was a driven man, needed in all parts of the country assisting hospitals in the implementation and training of new computer software systems. He began his career at New York Hospital and Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital, later moving to Bethlehem to work at Pentamation.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Irene; sons, Joseph M. Kulig and wife, Kathleen, and Steven T. Kulig and wife, Beth; as well as his grandchildren, Colby Kulig and wife, Kait, and Evan Kulig; and great grandson, Calvin Bo.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. immediately followed by military honors and a eulogy by Steven Kulig at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors, Gary Sinise Foundation, and/or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
