Stanley A. Szymanski of Bath, PA (previously Matawan, NJ) passed away from complications due to pneumonia on April 18th, 2025. He was surrounded by family and friends.

Stanley Szymanski was born April 23, 1940 in New Brunswick, NJ. He was the youngest of three children and is predeceased by his two sisters, Helen Wisely and Lorraine Romatowski. He played football and track before graduating from South River High School in 1958, where he then went on to graduate from University of Richmond with degrees in Math and Physics. He served in the U.S. Army before spending his career as a water treatment engineer, a math and science teacher in the NJ school system and a part time LPN until his retirement.

Stan was well known in his community and neighborhood, those who knew Stan remember him for his dry sense of humor and his willingness to share his personal life through many humorous and laughable stories. He was a loyal and active member of AA and recently celebrated his 40 year anniversary. He loved hunting and fishing in his leisure time. Although, never short on words, his favorite sayings were "Take it one day at a time" and "Easy does it."

Stan is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patricia Mello, his daughter, Lisa Szymanski of Philadelphia, PA, his son, Patrick Szymanski and daughter-in-law Amy of Toms River, NJ, as well as his two granddaughters, Lindsey Szymanski and Sarah Szymanski. He will be deeply, truly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 17th,2025 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at The Connell Funeral Home in 245 E Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a Celebration of Life to follow at 3:00 PM in the funeral home.
