Stanley W. Yanik, of Allentown died Thursday March 29, 2007 at Lehigh Valley Hospice 17th & Chew St. Allentown. He was born in Northampton son of the late John and Mary Sidor Yanik. He was the husband of Jean Kametz Yanik. They celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversay November 2006. He worked for AT&T and Western Electric for 37 years and after retiring he worked for the Dial Corporation as a sales representative for 8 years. While at Western Electric he recieved the largest award in company history for employee suggestions toward improvement of job performance. He was a member of the Lucent Pioneers Club. Stanley was a charter member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Allentown. He was a veteran of the US Army during WW2 serving in the European Theater. Stanley loved to swim and play golf.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, son- Edward M.Yanik of Allentown, sister- Irene Scannell of Catasauqua, Pa. and several nieces & nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday April 2, 2007 at 10:30AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church 1040 Flexer Ave. Allentown, Pa. 18103 Calling hour will be from 9:30-10:30AM in the church.
Contributions can be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice 2166 S. 12th St. Allentown, Pa.
Burial will be private.
