Stella Gonda

Stella Gonda, 101…and a half, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023. She was born May 20, 1922, in Bethlehem, PA, the daughter of the late Carl and Erma Kosman. She was the devoted wife of 65 years to the late Joseph Gonda.

Stella was a loyal, hardworking, sassy, and sociable woman. She enjoyed playing bingo, going out to eat, and a good strawberry daquiri. Stella and Joe loved traveling, especially on cruises and day trips to casinos. Stella loved her family and cherished every moment with them. Stella worked as a sewing machine operator in a few local mills.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Josephine Zeitner and her husband, Thomas, grandson, Zachary Zeitner and his wife, Sheryll, and great-granddaughter, Rachel. Stella was preceded in death by five siblings.

A viewing will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, 10-11 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 immediately followed by a service at 11 a.m. Entombment will be held at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
