Stephen A. Marth

September 14, 1929 — March 6, 2009

Stephen Anthony Marth, 79, formerly of Allentown, died Friday, March 6, 2009 at Country Meadows Nursing Home in Bethlehem Twp.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Ignatz and Anna Csencsits Marth.

He was the loving husband of Norma Catherine Baum Marth. They celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary this past July 30th.

Stephen worked as a draftsman for Reimer & Fisher Corp. He also worked for Mack Truck, Inc. as a security guard. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Marines as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of: Marine Corp League, United Veterans Organization of Allentown, Disabled American Veterans and he volunteered for various veteran organizations. Stephen was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Roman Catholic Church of Allentown.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Norma, son, Stephen S. Marth of Bethlehem; daughters, Deborah, wife of Frank Molchan of Bath; Lisa, wife of James DeFrancisco of Bethlehem; sisters, Sr. Michelle, Theresa, Josephine and Kathy, his five grandchildren, Stephanie Molchan wife of Matthew Cesare, Michael and Eric Molchan and James, Jr. and Chelsea DeFrancisco. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Ignatius and John.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Roman Catholic Church, 444 N. Jasper St. Allentown, PA 18109. Visitation will be held, Tuesday, from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, from

9-10 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Allentown.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Parkinson's Disease Foundation 710 West 168th St. New York, NY 10032-9982 or to the church.
