Stephen Huhn

February 26, 1918 — May 3, 2008

Stephen Huhn, 90, of Lower Macungie Township died Saturday May 3, 2008 at the Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. He was born in Palmerton, Pa and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Steven Hun. He was the husband of the late Marion P. Jones Huhn who died in 1995.

Stephen proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during WWII serving in both the African and the European Theatres and was awarded 6 Bronze Stars. He worked for the Bethlehem Steel Company for 41 years beginning as a Bucker, then a Spray Painter then retired as a punch hole operator on the punch press in 1976. He was a past member of the USW AGL/CIO Local 2599. After leaving the Steel Company he worked for several years for Bethlehem YMCA. He was former member of the First Church of The Nazarene in Wilmington N.C., while he resided there, when moving back to the area he transferred his membership to the First Church of The Nazarene in Bethlehem.

Surviving are his son Barron S. and his wife Susan B with whom he resided, Stepsons; Kenneth Reese of Cementon, Pa., Robert Reese of Easton, Pa. and Howard Smith of California; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son David and step-daughter Frances.
