Stephen L. Celecz, 78, of Easton, PA passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011 in his home. Born August 26, 1932 in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Mary Ribics and Anthony Celecz.
Stephen proudly served his country in the US Navy on the USS Bennington during the Korean War. After serving in the U.S. Navy, Stephen went on to work for the Bethlehem Steel. He was a member of The University Parish of Holy Ghost. Stephen was an easy going man who enjoyed being around his friends and family but most of all he loved watching the Detroit Tigers.
Stephen will be lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Louis and John, sisters, Theresa Louie, Anne Fidorack and Margaret Merlino.
Services: A calling hour will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the University Parish of Holy Ghost 417 Carlton Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18015 from 9-10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem. Arrangements by Connell Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Stephen's name to the charity of one's choice.
