Stephen M. Ezar, 86, of Bethlehem, died on Sunday, December 24, 2017. Born in Bethlehem on February 9, 1931, he was the son of the late John and Josephine (Vlasko) Ezar.
Stephen was a Cpl. in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War from 1952 - 1954 for 16 months in Pusan, Korea. He also worked in the Bethlehem Steel Plant for 42 years. His enjoyment in life was 30 years of Polka dancing at the Ukes Club in Allentown where the Melody Aces were his favorite band. During his last years he kept busy putting hundreds of jig saw puzzles together and later giving them to charity. He was a member of the Incarnation of Our Lord Parish previously known as Ss. Cyril & Methodius.
Survivors: His one daughter, Tina Marie Ezar and husband, David of Gaithersburg, MD; sisters, Anna Zaun and Margaret Carnihan; brother, Francis Ezar and wife, Dorothy; and many nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings: Joseph, John, Andrew, Michael, Helen and Mary Mitko.
Services: A viewing will be held on Friday, Dec. 29, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the Incarnation of Our Lord Church, 617 Pierce St, Bethlehem. Burial will be at the Ss. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery, Bethlehem.
