Stephen Mihalka, 96, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, June 2, 2011. Born in Bethlehem on July 2, 1914, he was the son of the late Frank and Rose Mihalka. He was the husband of the late Anna Durner Mihalka who died in 2005. They were married for 60 years.
Stephen was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Co. for 42 years as roller in the 12" Mill and retired in 1975. In his earlier years he also was employed as a plumber by Elek Plumbing. He was a member of the USWA Local 2599 and of the former Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.
He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank and Louis Mihalka; sisters, Elizabeth Cook, Mary Stauffer, Irene and Anna Schunk.
All services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
