Stephen P Suhoza

Stephen P. Suhoza, 96, of Bethlehem, PA died on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Kirkland Village in Bethlehem.? He was born in Emeigh, PA, the son of the late Stephen and Julia Zavory Suhoza.

He was the loving husband of Helyn Vargo Suhoza, they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary this past March.

Mr. Suhoza worked for Pepperidge Farm in Connecticut for 25 years retiring in 1977 as a shipping supervisor. He proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army Military Police stationed in Washington, D.C.

Steve, a gentle man and a true gentleman, loved his entire family and truly enjoyed being able to help them in any way he could. He also enjoyed all sports and was an avid Yankee fan until he moved to Pennsylvania and became a Phillies fan. He was in attendance in Yankee stadium on Oct. 8, 1956 when Don Larsen pitched a perfect game in the fifth game of the World Series against the Brooklyn Dodgers. He loved to tell everyone the story.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Helyn, daughter Lee-Ellan, wife of Edward Murray III of Lower Nazareth Twsp., granddaughter Christine, wife of Michael Polansky, grandson, Jonathan Murray & his wife Dayna and his three great-grandsons, Jackson Polansky, Rowan & Conor Murray. He was preceded in death by: sisters, Julia Kratzer, Helen Falcone and Mary Virgulak and brothers-John, Joseph & William Suhoza.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Monday, January 19, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. in the church.

Graveside prayers will be on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk, Ct.
