Stephen Skibo

Stephen Skibo, 90, of Bethlehem died on Monday June 10, 2008 at his residence.

He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late Andrew and Mary Stegura Skibo.

Stephen was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Mary H. Hudak Skibo.

Stephen was a 1936 graduate of Liberty High School where he was an excellent athlete, earning varsity letters in both football and wrestling.

He retired from the Bethlehem Steel as a safety foreman after 45 years of service.

Stephen will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Barbara G. Brown of Chagrin Falls, OH and Judith L. Hanks of West Chester, PA; son, Steven R. Skibo of Cincinnati, OH; sister, Helen Wiley of Fountain Hill and brothers, Paul Skibo of Hellertown; Charles Skibo of Bethlehem and Edward Skibo of Southampton, PA. He is also survived by his three grandchildren Douglas Gier, Emily Hanks and Benjamin Skibo and one great grandson Griffin Gier.

Stephen was a member of the South Bethlehem Volunteer Firemen's Relief Association. He was also a member of Silver Creek Country Club, where he enjoyed to golf with friends.

A ceremony to celebrate Stephen's life will be held at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem on Saturday June 14, 2008 at 12:30PM.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 14, 2008 from 11:30AM- 12:30PM in the funeral home.
