Stephen Skumanich

Stephen W. Skumanich, 90, of Bethlehem, died on Friday, January 31, 2014. Born in Jessup, PA, he was the son of the late William and Mary Skumanich Smith. He was the husband of Dolores (Mosluk) Skumanich; they were married 56 years.

Stephen was a graduate of Lock Haven State University and did masters level studies at Lehigh, Lafayette and Villanova. He was a math and science teacher at Saucon Valley Junior High for many years where he also served as the timekeeper for the wrestling matches. He was an avid reader and sports fan and a US Army Air Corps WWII veteran.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Dolores; daughter, Stephanie Skumanich, Ph.D; sisters, Rose Piasecki and Mary Kistner; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Molnar, and sister, Ann Prohidney.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
