Steve A. Kerecz of Bethlehem passed away Friday, February 10, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Dolores Martin Kerecz with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage last May. He was the son of the late Joseph and Anna Czor Kerecz.

Steve served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church and currently a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Steve worked for Strick Trailers and Bethlehem Steel Corporation retiring in 1980. He was also a life-long member of the KSKJ Lodge.

Steve is survived by his wife, daughter, Dorothy wife of Gary A. Midash of Bethlehem, sister, Theresa Algeo of Perkasie, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph and sisters, Mary Liddle and Anna Trescak.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020 from 10-11AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem, PA. Arrangements Connell Funeral Home.
