Steven B. Szopacs

Steven B. Szopacs, 67, of Bethlehem, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday August 19, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg Campus in Bethlehem, PA. He was the son of the late Stephen and Hedwig (Kroll) Szopacs. He was the husband of the late Catherine Jean Szopacs. Steven was a graduate of Liberty High School in 1969. He also served his country in the US Air Force from 1969-1973 during the Vietnam War. Steven worked in the maintenance department for the Catasauqua Post Office for 34 years retiring in 2013. He was a life member of the Southworks Hose Co. in Catasauqua, PA, where he enjoyed playing a game of darts and shooting pool.

He will be lovingly remembered by his family, sister, Hedy Szopacs of Catasauqua, nephew Eric Szopacs and wife Sharon and great niece, Autumn, and great great niece Mila Szopacs all of Bethlehem, PA

A viewing will be held from 12-1pm on Thursday August 23, 2018 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA followed by a service at 1pm. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Allentown, PA, immediately following the service. A Celebration of Steves Life will be held from 3-6pm at the Southworks Hose Co. 344 2nd St. Catasauqua, PA 18032.
