Susan E. Mcintyre

Susan E. McIntyre, 67, of Bethlehem passed away Thursday May 24, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on May 27, 1944 in Bethlehem daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah ( Pavlowski) Shafer. She was the wife of Joseph J. McIntyre, Jr.

Susan was the owner of Healthy House in Allentown for over 23 years. She was one of the first women to work in the blast furnace at Bethlehem Steel. She also worked on the assembly line for Mack Trucks and was a manager for the Conditioning Club in Allentown.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Joseph, son, Michael McIntyre of Bethlehem, daughter Monica wife of Brian Morgan of Bethlehem, sister Jean wife of Alan Antry of East Allen Twp, grandchildren, Brian Morgan, Bradley Morgan, Michael Sean McIntyre, Joshua McIntyre, and Nevyn McIntyre, goddaughter, Aubree, and her faithful dog, Holly.

A Memorial Service will be held 4PM Wednesday May 30, 2012 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018. Calling hours will be from 2-4PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
