Susan Elizabeth Matheson

Susan Elizabeth Matheson, 68, of Bethlehem, died on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Moravian Village.

She was born February, 9, 1942 in Detroit, MI; the daughter of the late James and Mary Richardson Gault.

Susan earned her Masters of Education Degree from Western Michigan University and began her career as a Teacher. She retired as a Teacher in the Bethlehem Area School District teaching in the gifted children program.

She was lovingly known as Aunt Sue to her four sons, Jim Lothian and his wife Denise of Bethlehem; Dave Lothian of Bethlehem; Scott Lothian of Hellertown and Matthew Lothian of Breinigsville. She is also survived by her sister Nancy Gault of Arizona; five grandchildren and many relatives and friends.

Susan was a member of Cathedral Church of the Nativity where she participated in the Altar Guild.

She was also a member of AAUW and PSERS

Friends may call on Saturday, July 3, 2010 from 8-9:30 AM at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018, The Rite of Burial will follow at 10 AM at Cathedral Church of the Nativity 321 Wyandotte St. Bethlehem, PA 18015. Burial will be held at Nisky Hill Cemetery.
