Susan R. Braido

Susan R. Braido, 79, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospice House. She was born in Allentown, the daughter of the late Robert J. and Dorothy (Frey) Hunter. She was the loving wife of Aldo Braido. They celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary this past February.

Susan graduated from Liberty High School and Keystone Junior College where she earned her degree in business and also worked as the Director of Alumni Relations. She was very active with the Bethlehem YWCA where she served as Chairperson for the Great Decisions Lecture Series. She also was a past president of the Junior Century Club of Scranton; a member of the Lackawanna Arts Council; and the First Membership Coordinator on The Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce. Susan was a parishioner of Christ Church UCC of Bethlehem where she was a former part-time administrator and volunteered a lot of her time.



Susan will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Aldo; niece, Susan, wife of Wayne Kuehl; nephew, Jeffrey Little; step-niece, Rita Smith and step-nephew, Rusty Sillivan. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joanne Sillivan.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Christ Church UCC, 75 E. Market St., Bethlehem, PA 18018. Visitation will be Sunday, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem and again on Monday, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the church or YWCA of Bethlehem, 3893 Adler Place, Building B, Suite 180, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
