Sylvanus H. Beahm

Sylvanus “Sonny” H. Beahm, 90, of Bethlehem, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at VNA Hospice House of St. Lukes. He was the husband of the late Jean (Fernandes) Beahm (died 1979) and the late Eleanor Jean (Kovach) Beahm (died 2016). Sonny was born in Fountain Hill on November 25, 1932 to the late William and Caroline (Stein) Beahm. He served our country faithfully in the Army during Korean War. Sonny worked in the Cinder Plant at the former Bethlehem Steel for many years until retiring. He was a member of the North End Wanderers A.A., Bethlehem.

Survivors: Children: Wayne W. (Nancy A.) of Bethlehem, Alan H. (Sandra J.) of Bethlehem, Caroline L. (Joseph M.) Pietkiewcz of Allentown; step-children: Brian K. (Kathie) McBride of Macungie, Brent G. (Khamtanh Joy) McBride of Merritt Island, FL, Sherri D. (Stuart J.) Culvert of Freemansburg; sister: Beatrice Benner of Bethlehem; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter. Predeceased by step-son: John E. McBride; siblings: Catherine Beahm, William, Albert, Fern Loncric, Loretta Host, Dorothy “Molly” Kramm.

Service: Family and friends are invited to call 10- 11 a.m. Monday, December 26, 2022 at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad Street-Bethlehem, followed by a service at 11 a.m. The interment will be held private.
