Sylvia M. Menio

Sylvia M. Menio, 76, of Northampton died Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Westminister Village in Allentown. Born in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Sylvester Kincade, Mary Antry Kincade Reinsmith and her step father the late Hobart Reinsmith. Sylvia's husband, Peter Menio Sr., died Jan. 18, 2004.

She had been a member of St. Josaphat's Ukranian Catholic Church of the Byzantine Rite in Bethlehem.

Sylvia's legacy is that of a lifelong caregiver. She watched over her mother, husband, children including 27 foster children and babysat her grandchildren and great grandchildren whenever needed.

She will be lovingly missed by her sons Peter, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Athens, PA and Thomas and his wife Debbie of Northampton, her daughters Diane A. Menio, wife of Mark Garvin of Cheltenham and Susan M. Fogel of Waverly, NY and a brother John Kincaid of Bethlehem. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Michelle, Tom, Jr., Jessica, Peter III, Kathryn, Meredith and Madi and her great grandchildren Paige, Jake and Ashley. She was preceded in death by a brother Benjamin Kincade.

Services to celebrate Sylvia's life will be on Saturday, September 25, 2010 in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem at 11:00AM. Family will receive friends from 9:00AM-11:00AM. Burial will follow in Holy Saviour Cemetery.
