Teresa E. Mies Waters

Teresa "Tess" E. Keller Mies Waters, 91, of Bethlehem, PA died Friday, January 11, 2008 at Country Meadows in Bethlehem Township.

Born August 11, 1916 in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Frank and Theresa Ortwein Keller. She was married to her first husband William Mies who died at the age of 36, she then married her second husband Donald Waters who passed away in 1992.

Teresa was a self employed hairdresser, who was the owner of The Vogue Beauty Shop on E. Broad St. in Bethlehem for 35 years. She was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church and its Seniors Head Club. Teresa was also a member of the Senior Citizens Club, the St. Bernards Society, Ss. Simon and Jude Senior Citizens Club and the Woman's Red Hat Club. She volunteered at Holy Family Manor. Teresa also loved dancing to her polka music.

Teresa will be lovingly remembered by her sons; William Mies and wife Joanne of Arnold, MD, Thomas Mies and wife Pamela of Bethlehem, sister, Catherine "Kitty" Lisowski of Bethlehem. She will also be remembered by two grandchildren; Samantha Mies-Smith and Dave Mies.

She was preceded in death by her sister Rose Abbott and her brother Francis Keller.

SERVICES

A viewing will be held Tuesday January, 15, 2008 from 8:30-9:30 AM at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. A service will be held at 9:30 AM in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Holy Ghost Catholic Church 417 Carlton Ave., Bethlehem, PA 18015.

Burial will be at Holy Ghost Cemetery, in Bethlehem, PA

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Church in Teresa's name.
